Swing Dancin Dame Pt 1

Miss Swing Dancing Dame contacted me out of the blue with the a message saying "Hey I like your profile and think we could get on really well, want to catch up some time?" I liked her directness so replied with an affirmative.

Her online profile showed a pretty mixed race girl who was likely to be outgoing and confident. She has an interest in travel (tick!), the arts (tick!) all things retro (hmmmm), and swing dancing (huh??). We met a few days later for a spontaneous drink in First Out. She walked down the stairs to the bar and entered the room, with a 'presence'. This girl moves with a purpose, she didn't exude grace and poise like you would expect from a dancer; more the rumble and noise of a boisterous toddler. She got herself a beer (I already had one) and sat right next to me. Everything about this girl was direct and straight to the point. If she were a shape, she'd be an arrow. She had a beautiful mass of black curly hair pinned up, large brown almond shaped eyes, fabulous retro glasses and olive skin. She was incredibly attractive.

We talked for a long time about travel. She worked in the industry and has been to many of the 'off the beaten track' locations.  We talked about music, and it came as no surprise that she liked alternative music. We talked about an exhibition on at the British Museum. We talked about my homeland, Australia. She had been a number of times and had a great knowledge of the country. We didn't seem to click, but I liked her transparency and could see her as a a great friend.  It was an early night, but being a Monday neither of us were up for a big one. We agreed to go to a club night together the following weekend.
